First initiation of Babaji Kriya Yoga
Yoga is science and art that has been passed on for over 5,000 years.
Babaji Kriya Yoga (BKY) will be possible if the person is in the conscious state at least 90% of the time.
The sole purpose of yoga, the purpose of kriya yoga, is absolute perfection – That, Shiva. This is the only purpose of all people – so say the people who have reached That.
The purpose of Babaji Kriya Yoga is not to leave to anyplace or have some special experiences. Instead, the purpose is such permanent change that makes you the master of your life right in the middle of it.
Initiation into BKY is conducted by the Acharya with respective qualification.
Kriya means conscious action
Babaji Kriya Yoga (BKY) is an ancient reality-based comprehensive and practical system of yogic science, suitable for every person operating in modern society, regardless of his or her profession, race or religion. Kriya is none of our automatic reactions or subconscious processes. Kriya means conscious action, that is, action in which each process is monitored, guided, for a specific purpose, and fulfilling the chosen goal.
What do you learn during this initiation?
In the first initiation of BKY, we learn how to consciously develop the ability to concentrate, to master the movement of awareness, to organize one’s thinking process, and to use intuition. We acquire:
- six different techniques called kriya kundalini pranayama (breathing techniques) to develop, activate and balance vitality;
- six different dhyanas (meditations) to master the mind;
- 18 physical kriya hatha yoga exercises (asanas) to support, organize and strengthen body functionality.
Through prana, we surpass death. And this is the meaning of pranayama (sanskr yama – death). The purpose of the pranayamas is to activate the different pranas, clean the various prana channels, create more prana, and regulate all the life energy we have.
How to progress efficiently?
Kriya Yoga is an ancient science. The efficiency of techniques depends on both focus and consistency in their application. After the initiation, it is good to practice at least 20 minutes each morning and evening. Babaji Kriya Yoga (BKY) is based on the use of consciousness. This means that the true power of techniques will only open up to a practitioner who maintains the conscious state at least 90% of the time. But the most important is Babaji’s guidance.
The first-level initiation is an intense yoga retreat, lasting for two days
Because application of consciousness and awareness are the basis for efficient practice, it is necessary, as a preparation prior to the initiation into Level I of Babaji Kriya Yoga, to pass the Art of Conscious Change (AoCC) I-II course. After the initiation, it is possible to continue your education in the form of monthly satsangs, which take place from autumn to spring in Lilleoru Hub, Estonia (participation is also possible via internet). At these meetings participants can ask questions and clarify the techniques with the Acharya, and share the experience they obtained from practicing.
“Getting to know your inner world is an integral part of yoga discipline.”
