“The unavoidable principles of self-development – the Niyamas”. Ingvar Villido Ishwarananda “The Path of Wisdom” (ENG, GER, RUS translation),@Online
The yogic ethics or the Yamas that were touched upon in the March lecture enable you to redesign yourself through behavioural choices in order to become a better person and create thereupon an improved relationship with the rest of the world. In the April lecture you will learn about the Niyamas, or yogic actions that one has to take in order to reach self-realization. The Niyamas were used by the ancient practitioners who attained self-realization.
The Niyamas are divided into five general categories: contentment, study of self, self-purification, self-discipline and surrender. The five components are applied together with the corresponding knowledge and techniques. In this lecture Ingvar will address the subtle meaning of the Niyamas.
Ingvar has followed the path of Siddha-yoga for over 30 years. In his “Path of Wisdom” lecture series he shares the profound insight he has gained on this path in a distinctively simple and practical manner with the wider public. He demonstrates how to integrate the seemingly distant spiritual knowledge into everyday life and discover your real capacities and true potential. Human path is the path of practical wisdom, he says.
